Welcome to the Rhodesian Ridgeback Association's website.

Our prime objective is to promote happy and healthy Rhodesian Ridgebacks at all levels of ownership. A copy of the Associations rules are available on request.

The Association publishes a newsletter four times a year which contains information about the Association's activities, general information, show results and articles. Fun days and various activities are also run by the Association throughout the year and these will be advertised in our Coming Events section.

We are divided into three regions, Upper North Island (Taupo North), Central (Taupo South to Wellington) and the South Island. Contact Details for Committee in these regions are available in the Contact Us section.

The Association actively rescues and rehomes RR's in need. Please enjoy our succcess stories and if you think you would like to give a RR a forever home, we are always interested in hearing from potential good homes.

We encourage owners who want to breed their Rhodesian Ridgebacks to ensure they are fully aware of what they are getting into. There is information on this site that will help with planning a litter to ensure that none of the breeds hereditary problems are ignored. The Association's Committee members are happy to talk to anyone who would like to know more.

We have a number of experienced breeders who are registered with the Association. In some cases we may be able to help with information about current litters however we encourage anyone looking to own a RR to do their homework as there are breeders out there advertising pedigree pups that are not registered with NZKC and who are also not recognised by the Association.

If your aim is to own a pedigree Rhodesian Ridgeback with a certified pedigree issued by the NZKC we strongly encourage you to make sure that the person selling the pups is a registered breeder.

We are here to help and we hope that you enjoy this website and look forward to receiving feedback.
